Um Base
What Um Base is
Um Base at base.umout.ai is your Um Out account on the web. It is where you manage your plan, your activated computers and your settings, whichever plan you are on. On Um Out Plus it is also where you plan a video before you shoot it.
umout.ai/account.html is now in Um Base. That address still works and forwards you, so old links and emails are fine. You do not need a new account
Um Base uses the Um Out account you already have. There is no second account, no second password, and nothing extra to set up. Um Base runs on a subdomain of umout.ai and shares a sign-in with the account service, so signing in once covers both, and signing out signs you out of both.
- Go to base.umout.ai and choose Open Um Base.
- Choose Sign in with Um Out. You are taken to the usual Um Out sign-in page.
- Sign in as you normally would. You are returned to Um Base, signed in.
You can also get there from the Premiere Pro panel: Open your Um Out account opens Um Base in your browser.
What you get on each plan
Two things are open to everybody with an Um Out account, on any plan, and whatever state that plan is in:
- Account — your current plan and what it covers, billing, and the computers using your licence.
- Settings — your password, Microsoft sign-in, downloading your data, and deleting your account.
That is deliberate. If a card payment fails, you still need to reach the billing portal, so those two are never behind a plan check.
Um Out Plus adds six more: a dashboard, projects, performance, a channel profile, brainstorming and title scoring. On the trial or on Local those six are not part of your plan, and Um Base does not put them in the page at all.
What works today, and what does not
Working now, on any plan: signing in, your plan and billing, your activated computers, your password and sign-in methods, downloading your data and deleting your account.
Working now on Plus: projects, brainstorming and title scoring.
Not working yet: anything that needs your channel. There is no way to connect a YouTube channel to Um Base, so the dashboard, the channel profile and the performance review are empty. They show empty states rather than example numbers, because a figure on your own dashboard reads as yours. Thumbnail review is not built either.
Um Base does not change the panel
The Premiere Pro panel is unaffected by any of this. It signs computers in the same way it always has, using a code you approve in your browser, and none of that goes through Um Base. Your footage is still read locally by the panel and still never uploaded.
