A four-hour stream is a four-hour file. Somewhere in it are twenty minutes worth publishing, and the only way to find them is to sit through the whole thing, including the stretches where you were reading chat, waiting on a queue, or troubleshooting your own audio.

This is the workflow that built our own clips channel.
Stream Highlights exists because of a problem we had ourselves. Live viewers rarely arrive from the live page. They come from clips and VODs posted somewhere they can be found, and a streamer who does not post them is invisible between streams. The tool was built backwards from that: not "find the funny bit", but "get the postable clips out of a four-hour VOD fast enough that posting them is actually sustainable".
We used it on our own second channel, Dynamic Too, which is a clips channel fed from stream VODs. Wait until OBS has closed the file and its size is stable before importing. A file that is still being written is not safe to analyse. Keep a protected source sequence so the original timing is always recoverable.

Run the quiet gap remover across the dialogue. On a long recording this is where the hours go: it proposes the silent runs, you approve them in bulk, and a four-hour file becomes a much shorter one you can actually watch through.

Filler cleanup after the big silence decisions, not before. The surrounding rhythm changes how a stumble feels, so a hesitation that was distracting in the raw file is often fine in the tightened version.

Which plan do I need for the clip tools?

Can it find my highlights automatically?
Stream Highlights proposes candidate stretches from a long VOD so you are not scrubbing the whole thing looking for the moment. It is a shortlist, not a verdict: you still decide which candidates are worth a post, because that depends on what you promised the viewer and whether the clip keeps it.
Does it handle a four-hour file?
Yes. Analysis runs locally and there is no footage cap on any paid plan, or during the trial. Long files take longer to analyse, but the limit is your computer, not a quota.
What about separate mic and game audio?
Point the analysis at the track carrying your voice. Keeping sources on separate tracks when you record is worth doing for exactly this reason: it gives the cleanup a clean signal to work from.
Does anything get uploaded to a server?
No. The recording stays on your drive. Um Out is a Premiere panel doing local analysis, not an upload-and-wait web service.
