Captions

Word-for-word captions, as real Premiere graphics

Most caption tools give you a burned-in overlay or a sidecar file. Both mean going back to the tool every time you want to change one word.

Included on every paid plan, and in the 7-day trial. Needs the local speech model.

Real graphics, not an overlay

Captions land as Premiere text graphics on their own track. Style them once and every caption follows. Because they are ordinary graphics, you can drag one, retype it, restyle a single word, or delete it, without going back through Um Out at all.

That also means they survive everything else you do to the sequence, and they export the way any other graphic does.

Timed to the word

Timing comes from the same transcript the other tools use, so each caption appears with the words it contains rather than on a fixed cadence.

Run captions last, after silence and filler cleanup. Captions written against the uncut audio describe words that are no longer there.

Questions people ask

Can I change the styling afterwards?

Yes. They are ordinary Premiere text graphics, so every normal styling control applies and nothing is locked.

Does it upload my audio?

No. Transcription runs locally through the speech model on your own computer.
