Ambassador programme

Teach it, and it is yours

If you make videos, teach editing, or run a creator community, show Um Out in a real edit and keep the licence. Past 2,000 people we fund the video as well.

A person reads every application. Usually a reply within two working days.

Tell us where you post

Send us the channel, the community, or the classroom, and roughly who watches. Numbers help but they are not the whole thing: fifty editors who actually edit are worth more to us than fifty thousand passers-by.

There is no form. An email is enough, and a person reads it.

Hear back from a person

Every application is read by someone, and everyone gets a reply, including the ones we say no to. No auto-rejection, no silence, usually within two working days.

If it is a no, we say why, because a vague no is useless to you.

Show it in a real edit

Use it on footage you were going to cut anyway and show what happened, including the parts where it got something wrong. An honest demonstration is worth more to both of us than a polished one.

Say it is sponsored. We will never ask you to hide it, and we will never ask for approval over what you say.

Keep the licence

Once the post is live we confirm it and send your Um Out licence. Yours to keep, on two computers, the same as anyone who paid for it.

Over 2,000 people we also fund the video itself, case by case, agreed before you make it rather than argued about afterwards.

Before you write in

Do I need a big audience?

No. The licence is not audience-gated; funding is. If you teach five people properly that is interesting to us.

Do you approve what I say?

No. We will correct a factual mistake if you ask us to, and that is the extent of it. A review you cannot criticise is not a review.

What if I do not like it?

Say so. We would rather hear it in public and fix it than pay for a video that reads as an advert.

How long does the licence last?

It is a real licence, not a trial extension, and it does not expire when the post stops performing.

Send us one email.

Where you post, who watches, and what you would want to show. That is the whole application.
